Here are some tips for you to increase device's battery life.
1. Turn off Wi-Fi: You can turn off iPad;s Wi-Fi feature if you aren't using it to increase your device's battery life.
  • Go to Settings, select Wi-Fi and turn it off.

2. Don't expose your device to high or low temperature: If the device is exposed to high or low temperatures, its battery could be harmed and it will cause a decrease in battery life. The device should be OK between 32 & 95 degrees.
3. Update the Firmware: Whenever there is a new update of your device's firmware is available, you should update it. Apple might be bringing new features in the firmware which could increase your device's battery life.

4. Customize Brightness: You could increase your device's battery life greatly by lowering the brightness. Go to Settings -> Brightness & Wallpaper and lower it by dragging the slider to the left.

5. Disable Push Notifications: The Push Notifications are used to make owners aware of their device's updates. Turning off these notifications could save and improve battery life. To disable, go to "Settings" and turn "Push Notifications" off.

6. Disable sounds
  • Go to Settings > General > Sounds.
  • You will find five different options to Increase/decrease or switch to On/Off based on your personal choice, though disabling all of these would decrease battery usage.

7. Disable Location Services:Turning off location services will save battery life. To disable it, go to Settings -> General and turn the Location Services off.

8. Turn off Push Mail: If receiving emails frequently, it could affect your device's battery life.
  • Go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Fetch New Data and turn Push off.

9. Turn on Auto Lock: Turn on the Auto Lock feature so that whenever the device is inactive, it automatically turns off after a certain time interval.
